North Shore Crisis Centre

Ross Forman is currently a board member of the North Shore Crisis Centre.  He has been a member of the board since 2005 to help promote a secure and abuse-free environment for women and children.  During his time on the board, the NSCC has implemented the following programs Adolescent & Children’s Empowerment Program (ACE), Outreach & Multicultural Outreach Services Program (OSP & MOS), and the Bowen Island Home Safe Program (BHS).

Ross Forman & Jeff Pilkington sponsored the “24th Good Neighbours Awards.”  The event offers an opportunity to celebrate and honor volunteers who have made a significant contribution to Neighborhood Houses and communities.  In 2007, the tireless efforts of the volunteers has helped over 700 families a week in the Downtown Eastside, created several out of school programs, established food security and served over 90,000 people across the Lower Mainland.  Ross & Jeff values ANH’s mission to make neighborhoods a better place to live and wants to honor the volunteers that make the all the programs possible.

Marife Sanvictores is a member of the Real Estate & Development Committee and the HSBC Childrun Committee at the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.  Since 2006, she assisted to raise funds for BC’s sickest and most injured children through the various fundraising programs such as Building For Kids, where BC’s Real Estate & Development community give back to the most urgent needs of the hospital and the 5km run in June for the Oncology department.  In 2008, the Real Estate & Development Committee raised $1,358,521 and HSBC Childrun Committee raised $710,000. 

 

Deep Cove Daze

Ross Forman & Jeff Pilkington appreciates music and the arts.  Their appreciation of a cultural society for the arts inspired them to be involved in Musart Cultural Society to create opportunities and exposure for local Lower Mainland artists, musicians, dancers, and poets in the North Shore community.  Their sponsorship of Deep Cove Daze, a summertime community arts festival, helps encourage members of the community from all age groups to participate in a wide range of activities from live music, dance and martial arts performances, midway full of rides, and food and concession stands.

Cinderella Project

Ross Forman helped raise funds and aided in the Cinderella Project Ball. The Cinderella Project was started to help encourage youth to stay in school and achieve the milestone of high school graduation, giving young people the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty for themselves and their families. Since its inception in 1999, the Cinderella Project has assisted approximately 1200 young people from around Greater Vancouver.
